Barcode Generator supports several common 1D and 2D formats: Micro QR, Data Matrix, Aztec Code, PDF417, Code 128, Code 39, EAN-13, and UPC-A. The format matters because each one accepts different kinds of data. For example, EAN-13 and UPC-A are numeric retail codes, while Code 128 can handle a wider range of text.
The input field filters or validates text based on the selected type. If a value disappears or shows an error, it usually means that barcode format cannot encode the characters or length you entered.
Batch Mode lets you create multiple codes of the same type. Add rows manually or upload a plain text file with one item per line. When you click Generate & Download ZIP, the tool generates PNG files and puts them into one ZIP archive.
Use batch mode when the format and styling are the same for every item, such as a list of shelf labels or internal asset IDs. If different rows need different barcode types, generate them in separate batches.
EAN-13 expects 12 or 13 digits. Letters, spaces, and shorter values are not valid for that barcode type.
