Convert Solar Dates to Lunar Calendar Dates
Appkiro's Lunar Calendar Converter helps you translate a Gregorian solar date into a Chinese lunar calendar date, or convert a lunar date back into its solar equivalent. It is useful for checking traditional festivals, planning family dates, preparing event notes, and browsing a month with lunar day labels beside the regular calendar.
What the tool shows
The converter gives you the solar date, lunar date, weekday, Chinese zodiac year, lunar phase, holiday or event label, auspicious hours, and suggested planning notes. The calendar browser also shows the current month with previous and next month previews, so you can compare nearby dates without jumping between separate calendars.

How to convert a date
- Choose the conversion direction. Use Solar to Lunar when you start with a Gregorian date. Use Lunar to Solar when you already know the lunar year, month, and day.
- Enter the date values. Pick day, month, and year from the controls. The supported range is 1900 to 2100.
- Set the region label. Choose a timezone or region that matches the calendar context you are documenting.
- Click Convert. The result panel updates the selected date, lunar date, weekday, zodiac, phase, and event details.
- Browse nearby dates. Use the month calendar and previous or next controls to compare surrounding days.
Example: checking a festival date
Suppose you want to verify a Mid-Autumn Festival reference for a project calendar. Switch to the lunar input, enter the eighth lunar month and fifteenth lunar day for the target year, then convert it to a solar date. The result gives the Gregorian date, shows the lunar festival label, and highlights the date inside the monthly calendar browser.
This workflow is also helpful when you need to write event copy, prepare reminder dates, compare traditional holiday timing across years, or document a cultural date beside a standard Gregorian schedule.

Calendar data range
The conversion is based on encoded Chinese lunar calendar year data from 1900 to 2100.
Time and region context
For date-sensitive events near midnight, confirm the local date in the region where the event is observed.
Lunar calendar systems are used differently across regions and traditions. Treat the converter as a practical reference for date lookup, festival context, and planning support. If you are preparing formal cultural, religious, legal, or official material, confirm the final date with the authority or calendar source required for that use.

FAQ
What date range does the Lunar Calendar Converter support?
The converter uses encoded Chinese lunar calendar data for years 1900 through 2100. Dates outside that range should be checked with a specialist calendar source.
Can I convert lunar dates back to solar dates?
Yes. Switch from Solar to Lunar to Lunar to Solar, enter the lunar year, month, and day, then run the conversion.
Are the auspicious activity notes official advice?
No. The activity labels are practical reference hints for planning and cultural context. They are not religious, legal, medical, or professional advice.
Why does timezone matter for calendar work?
The selected timezone label helps you document the region you are planning around. For events near midnight, confirm the final date in the local region where the event happens.
