Did you know?
You can pick a color from your screen in browsers that support the EyeDropper API.
RGB lives on screens; CMYK lives on paper. This tool converts an RGB triple into approximate cyan, magenta, yellow, and key percentages so you can communicate a screen color to a print vendor in their preferred format. The result is the standard mathematical conversion and ignores ICC profiles.
Pure black collapses entirely into the K channel, so cyan, magenta, and yellow report zero. Mixed darks split between coloured inks and K depending on the channel minima.
Need more notations? Open the Color Converter for HEX, RGB, HSL, LAB, OKLAB, and OKLCH, or use the Color Contrast Checker to validate foreground/background pairs before shipping.
CMYK black is fully expressed via the K channel, so cyan, magenta, and yellow collapse to zero in that case.
Yes. All four channels are reported as integer percentages from 0 to 100.
Most printers prefer ICC-managed PDFs. Use the result here for briefs and internal mockups, not as a press file.
