Silence Remover helps editors, podcasters, course creators, and voice-over teams shorten dead air before publishing. It is useful when long pauses make a recording feel slow, when meeting audio needs a tighter edit, or when a narrated track should fit a target duration.
Start with a 0.5 second minimum for podcasts and tutorials. Use a shorter minimum for fast voice notes, and a longer minimum for interviews where natural pauses should remain. Raise the threshold or sensitivity when quiet room noise prevents silence from being detected; lower them when soft speech is being marked incorrectly. Fade In/Out prevents hard joins, while Normalize Output restores a comfortable peak level after pauses are removed.

The tool scans short audio windows, measures RMS loudness, compares it with your dB threshold, then merges windows that stay below the threshold for at least the selected minimum silence length.
Yes. Each detected segment has a checkbox. Deselect any pause that should remain before exporting the cleaned audio.
MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG Vorbis, Opus, AAC, and M4A are available through the shared AppKiro audio encoder. Some formats may depend on browser codec support.
